On December 8/9th the beautiful "Le Turbie" circuit in the city of Monaco hosted the annual Xmas Cup, a classic race for 1:10 and 1:8 scale racing cars. There were a total of 100 participants at the event.
Unfortunately, bad weather on Saturday allowed for only 20 minutes of testing for each class. Barbera with the XRAY NT1 claimed TQ after the two qualifying rounds and the critical wet conditions gave an open race for the main event. The final started in the late afternoon and the last part was raced under artificial lighting. Barbera was leading the number 2 car by 1 lap by the 15min mark. By then the track was completely dry, giving Barbera the chance to push... stretching the lead to 3 laps!
The event was very well organized and the nice panoramic view of the sea by the famous F1 Monaco GP was incredible nice!
